Meet Dr. Marissa Spica

The Professional Side

Dr. Marissa Spica was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Grand Valley State University before moving to the outskirts of Chicago to attend Midwestern University, where she received her dental degree. Dr. Spica graduated summa cum laude and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honors fraternity. Upon graduation, Midwestern University honored her with the “Excellence in Patient Care Award”, an award given to those who go above and beyond to ensure their patients have a positive dental experience.

After dental school, Dr. Spica ventured to New York City for her postgraduate training. She attended New York University, where she received her certificate in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. Dr. Spica is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists and is board-certified through the American Board of Orthodontics. 

The Personal Side

When Dr. Spica is out of the office, she enjoys spending time with her loved ones, exploring the city, or trying new restaurants and coffee shops. She is also committed to giving back to the community through volunteer work with a local animal shelter. She hopes to one day visit Italy, where her family is from. She also enjoys reading, baking, and traveling.
